Gregory has spent almost 20 years in the financial services industry with a deep and comprehensive understanding of investment strategies, retirement planning and wealth management. He started his career at a trust company in Ridgeland, Mississippi, and eventually move on to New York Life Insurance. Over the years, he has earned many accreditations /awards. He has been named in Forbes* magazine as a Top 250 Financial Security Professionals in America for 3 years in a row. He was Agent of the Year in 2011 and Lifetime qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table, as well as Chairman’s Council** agent that encompasses the top producers of New York Life.
Gregory is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a B.S. degree in Finance. He currently holds a Life Health and Accident License, FINRA Series 6, Series 63, Series 7, and Series 66 securities registrations. As an insurance and annuity specialist, and experienced retirement plan professional, Gregory is dedicated to creating financial plans for his client’s future.
A Mississippi native, Gregory has lived in Covington for almost 20 years with his wife, Jamie, and their 3 children. Outside of work, Gregory is a competitive soccer coach for Covington Futbol Club where he trains multiple teams including his son’s team. Most of his weekends are consumed with soccer tournaments and games. He loves to hunt, workout, and spend quality time with his family.

Bret is the newest member of Shelton Financial Solutions with a goal of helping clients reach their long-term financial goals and objectives. He is a Financial Services Professional that is licensed to provide investment services as well as insurance for small business owners and individuals. He graduated from Louisiana State University where he received a bachelor’s degree.
Bret is a native of Slidell, LA and still resides in St Tammany Parish. Bret is an active member of Business Networking International and the president of the Northshore Business Club. He loves spending time with his family and friends, most notably his wife, Rachel, and their 2 children.
Dana Talley
Licensed Services Assistant
Dana has been Gregory Shelton’s administrative assistant for 12 years. She
has been working in the financial field for over 20 years and holds a life/
health/ accidental insurance for the state of Louisiana. Dana oversees the
service and processing of new and in-force contracts with New York Life and other insurance companies.
She has been married for 24 years to Cody and they have two children: Jessica and Cayle. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Blaine Perrilloux
Blaine Perrilloux has been an associate to Gregory Shelton for one year. He is currently in his third year enrolled at Louisiana State University, pursuing a bachelor’s degree of Finance. Paired with his continued education in finance, Blaine is also very knowledgeable in the Life and Health insurance industry. Working alongside Gregory, Blaine will continue to learn the ins and outs of the business world in order to better help our clients.
Although he currently lives in Baton Rouge, Blaine is a proud member of St. Tammany parish and grew up in Abita Springs. As a child, Blaine was a part of many different teams. Spanning from baseball to Student Council to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In his free time, Blaine enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching his favorite sports teams, and taking his dog for walks.
